The first indoor project was the small 1/2 bath downstairs. Some of the beadboard was rotten, so it had to be removed, which meant we needed to find pieces of old beadboard. Luckily there was old stuff to look through at the Antique Warehouse. A little seaside touch and a new paint job, and the little room made us feel like we had made some progress.

Our first view of the yard and sidewalk was reminiscent of a jungle. But with the help of friends and a full weekend of dirty, sweaty work, we found a sidewalk beside the house.

May 2009 - We bought an old house (built 1874) that had lived through 2 major hurricanes (1900 and 2008). There begins our adventure. Our retirement home?  or retirement project?
